CPO is an abbreviation of Crude Palm Oil or crude palm oil. Palm oil or palm oil is an edible vegetable oil, which is obtained from the mesocarp of the fruit of the oil palm tree, generally from the species Elaeis guineensis. Palm oil is naturally red due to its high beta-carotene content. Palm oil is different from palm kernel oil which is produced from the heart of the same fruit. Palm oil is also different from coconut oil which is produced from the kernel of the coconut fruit (cocos nucifera).

High Acid Crude Palm Oil (HACPO or ACPO) is another bio-diesel raw material with FFA of 8~15% which is also used to produce bio-diesel that meets international bio-diesel standards such as EN 14214 and ASTM D6751. Perchloric acid shows high catalytic activity for the conversion of FFA to FAME which can be used to process various oils and fatty acids as well.

Palm Kernel Shell (PKS) is part of the palm fruits lying between the palm fruit flesh and the Palm Kernel (PK). After Crude Palm Oil (CPO) has been extracted from the palm fruit flesh in the initial stage of Palm Oil Mill processes, PKS covering PK in intact form are sent to next phase of cracking and separation between PKS and PK. PKS has a dark brown color in nature.

Palm Press Fiber (PPF) is the by-product or residue produced during the process of acquiring the Crude Palm Oil (CPO) from the Palm Fruit with the method of screw-press. It has fibrous nature and has color ranging from deep yellow to light brownish. For every 1 Metric Ton of Palm Fruit process, there will be about 12% – 13% of PPF produced or about 120kg – 130kg.
